Dear Indian Grocery Store Under the Freeway

This piece is installed in the bathroom of 18 Reasons, a space dedicated to food and art in San Francisco. It is the second of four pieces created for the 18 Reasons bathroom residency, a program initiated by artist Julie Kahn. Each season over the course of a year, I am challenged to use natural materials to create a site specific installation about food.

In this series I turn my attention to some of my favorite eateries in San Francisco's Mission District - a place that has filled as many tummies as it has broken hearts.
